If you follow me on twitter you already know...if you don't...I got laid off today.
BUT......
I'm good! I'm happy! I knew some shit was gonna go down today I just couldn't put my finger on what it was but I knew SOMETHING was going to go down.
First, my son said to me on Saturday:
"You always come home at night, why?"
"Cause I have to work baby." (I worked 10am-7pm)
"Well maybe they should fire you so that you can spend more time with me."
Omen perhaps?
Second, yesterday had some issues at work (which I care not to discuss since I'm sure they are probably reading this right now *waves extra hard*) but I decided after said incident I was going to pack my desk up tomorrow (today) taking all my pictures, etc home and was going to job search starting January 1, 2010.
And low and behold....they saved me the wait.
Yeah it sucks to have to look for a job...but when one door closes, another one surely opens.
So....it's 3:50...I've already had a few dranks...and now my mom is ready to take me out for more....and I gots a date with Milk tonight (the first official) we're going to see G.I. Joe...maybe I'll let him watch a little bit of the movie since he actually WANTS to see it.
Anyway, R.I.P. to my job that I hated anyway. :-)

I recently got laid off (July 08). When I did, I started writing (Dec 08). I don't think I would've went back to that love if I didn't have that free time.
Now I'm working again, but I still write. So I'm thankful for the challenging time b/c it made me think about the things that give me the most joy.
(Ok, I'm turning this corniness off!) Dust yourself off and find something better.

I hate to hear about the boolshyt but I'm glad you can move on to something you love and don't have to deal with their nonsensical rules any more.
