Here I sit, fresh out the shower, hair still wrapped in a towel...sipping my wine and it's dead quiet...Verizon cut my cable line while installing the Fios line (by accident...yeah right) earlier today so no tv....not that I watch the shit anyways...but I have it on in the background...or I'll be playing music...or on the phone...something! But nah, I kept the music off, tv wasn't an option, cut the cell phone off and all I hear is the quiet whir of my computer tower and the faint sound of crickets outside...
And its nice.
Everything is so noisy these days that I find it sometimes hard to think, to gather all my thoughts and piece together the puzzle of whatever quandary I have for the day...or the week...or the month...
Sometimes I'll wait till late, like 12 or 1 o'clock and just walk outside...around the neighborhood and just think....or talk to no one in particular...
I find it to be almost like a sedative...strangely calming.
