I'm sitting here listening to the Wedding Planner on HBO (not watching...just listening...shoutout to Comcast coming and fixing the cable today...now THAT'S comcastic!) and Jennifer Lopez character is talking to her father and said something along the lines of (I'm paraphrasing here) "Love isn't a fairy tale or even love at first sight..."So...do you believe in love at first sight? Do you think it's possible?
Personally....I don't think so...love is such a profound think that it cannot be determined by just looking at a person.
Lust at first sight? Yeah, I 100% believe in that. But love? Nahhhhh.
And I hate when people look back on when they first met somebody and say, "Oh it was love at first sight"....nah, you'll get the massive side eye from me. Just because yall in love NOW doesn't mean you were in love 8 years, 4 months, 15 days ago at 1:45am when the lights came on in the club and yall locked eyes in a drunken gaze.
But it's a nice thought!

lmao! yeah im with you, i never believed in love at first sight. i think that phrase is for overly mushy ass people lol. like oh okay AS SOON AS you looked at eachother there were harps playing and birds chirping n shit? nahhh mannn.
I think its true for some people but others, like most of the world are cynics. We sit in reality more times than not and look deeper than 1st sight. Some people I know have had that "fight sight" then go down and I can't say I don't believe them. Only thing is, it's never both people. it's usually just one of them. When they say, " when I 1st saw him/her I knew I'd marry him/her" It happened for my great grandparents and also my paternal grandparents.

I don't believe you can love someone on first sight, ok, maybe your child after their birth? But not relationship wise. I usually hear people say stuff like that AFTER they've been together for a while.
Either way, love doesn't happen in an instance
Uhm... no love at first sight here- all lust.
