So what's the 411 hun?

So often when we begin dating we find ourselves (fairly early) at a brick wall...what to say...what to do...etc

After awhile it ends up being movie nights, dinner dates, and sex...well I'm gonna give you a few ideas...

Ask Questions!

Questions open up the floor for dialogue...besides how else can you get to know someone...you can interpret alot about a person by how they answer the simpliest of questions...

1) What do you do for work?


2) Where are you from?
3) What is the one thing about yourself that you would like me to know?

4) When was your last relationship and how long did it last?

5) What are you looking for in a relationship?
6) What do you think is the most important value in a relationship?

7 ) Do you want to marry or have you ever been married?

8) What do you look for in a significant other?
9) Do you want/do you have any children?

10) What do you do for fun?

11) What are you most proud about?

12) Is religion important to you?

13) Do you follow politics? Are you a Democrat or a Republican?

14) Do you believe in love at first sight?

15) What is your most treasured possession and why?

16) What is your favorite month of the year and why?

17) Which is your favorite book/movie?

18) Which is the last book you read?

19) Which is the one job in the world that you would love to do?

20) Which is your favorite music?

21) Do you like animals/keep pets?

Be creative!


Dinner and a movie...that's been done time and time and time again...try something new...

1. Go hiking/bike riding or just to the park to walk. Bring a picnic lunch or dinner.


2. Pretend you are looking to buy an expensive house and go to open houses.

3. Explore a local flea market.

4. Get disposable cameras and go sight-seeing in your own town.

5. Ride the bus around the city.

6. Have a dinner of miniature foods. Eat on small plates.

7. Go to the county court house and watch a trial in session. (funny shit happens in court)

8. Take a tour of a local factory. Call ahead for an appointment.

9. Go out to breakfast on a weekday before work.

10. Go to a wedding reception of someone you don't know. (WEDDING CRASHERS!)

11.Take a nature walk and collect bits of what you see. Make a collage or vase arrangement.

12. Use the Internet to find an interesting museum.

13. Go to an interesting location like a gazebo, park lake, or parking lot and order a pizza.

14. If you have a downtown area in your city, hang out there for a Saturday. Visit a cafe for lunch and browse the shops.

15. Fly kites.

16. Be kids again. Play hopscotch, go to a park, order happy meals, etc.

17. Put together an obstacle course or crazy Olympics.

18. Go to a conservatory if there is one in your area.

19. Take a drive--If you live in a big city, drive out of town to a more rural location. Have a picnic or eat at a small cafe

20. Watch the stars. You could go on a normal night or plan ahead to see a meteor shower or comet.

21. Have your own private photo shoot...clothing optional

22. Read to each other

23. Go wine tasting

24. Go to the mall...pick out an outfit for your significant other, and buy it for them

25. Check local listings for festivals

26. Cook for /with each other

27. Paint


All these ideas (I think pretty obviously) aren't from the brain workings of Epitome but I think alot of them are good ideas...and some not so much lol...so any suggestions from you guys? Let me and the blog fam know!

all i was saying is i hate being questioned. i'd turn over my chair and scream..."what is this an interrogation or something? you some kinda stalker or something..aww..next you're gonna want me ssn# huh?"...

then just place my money on the table and walk away. i'm with the getting to know each other. just not in question form. just have a conversation with me. work the "how do you feel about this.." into a story. cause questions make me apprehensive.
