Well this past Saturday I was "washing" my hair with some Apple Cider Vinegar (per my fellow nappy sister Monique's suggestion) and while detangling the back of my head with my wide tooth comb...and then my denman brush I saw that I didn't have too much in the way of permed silky straight ends anymore...I played with the straight ends for awhile as I continued to detangle towards the front of my head...when I got halfway through I stopped and went and grabbed a pair of scissors...
Yuup! I big chopped all on my own! And though I thought I would cry or get a little emotional, I had a smile on my face the entire time, I was so happy to be free of the scraggly straight ends that had been occupying my head for so long and when I was done...
I couldn't stop smiling. After I deep conditioned I blow dried my hair straight just to see the length...
Then I flat ironed...unfortunately I'm not very patient so my "blow out" didn't turn out all that great because by the time I got to the front my arms were dead tired...
So it ended up in a ponytail...
Anywho you can see from the pictures (taken with a shitty camera phone) that my hair is muy healthy! I don't have any product in my hair, just rubbed raw shea butter into my hair and scalp.
One thing I was mucho suprised but not really surprised about was that the length that my hair is now is (just a little bit) longer that how long my hair has been since I started getting relaxers at age 8. My hair has never really grazed my shoulders, never touched the bottom of my neck, and after one year I have that. Made me a happy girl.

First let me say your hair looks wonderful and as healthy as can be!! Second, reading this post almost made me want to rip this weave out and start grow out my perm so i can be all natural too! i will add this post to the list of reason's I'm thinking about saying "fuck this" and go back to natural!!!
it looks GREAT! so this apple cedar vinegar is good for your hair? where do you get it at? i have tried EVERYTHING on my daughters hair lol. and nothing seems to help the situation. i would never perm her hair tho that is not an option.

@bkashawna I use the apple cider vinegar to get the dandruff out of my hair because I have a REAL issue with it then I rub tea tree oil into my scalp. What's going on with your daughter's hair that you're trying to rectify?

@Anonymous Truthfully I don't have a regime, I deep condition with whatever I have on hand, then wash and condition, then rub shea butter on my hair and tea tree/carrot oil on my scalp (sparingly)...I've found that my hair responds better to less things in it.
I'm back to comment once again. So I'm super excited that your hair has decided to be great because hell i just am. I'm almost jealous at the shit as well, its almost as pretty as mine! Girl where you from? you so exotic!!! lol
