Shit You Should Know

I've addressed this before...but repetition is the best way to actually teach...and for others to learn...

"You wanna know what really grinds my gears?!?!!!"

YOUR-----implies ownership...remember this because you see the word "our" inside the word..."what's yours is mine and what's mine is ours"

YOU'RE-----you are...all you do is replace the 'a' in you are with an apostrophe and close the gap

THERE----implies placement...remember this because you see the word "here" inside the word..."here, there, everywhere"

THEY'RE------they are...same rule as YOU'RE...all you do is replace the 'a' in they are with an apostrophe and close the gap

THEIR-----implies ownership...remember this because you see the word "heir" inside the word..."he is the heir to the thrown" (as in he is the owner of the thrown)

Really people....this is elementary work...I'm so tired of seeing these misused...we are simply too old for that.

Tell a friend.

THANK YOU! I'm so tired of people misspelling anything, or using poor grammar and punctuation period. Just because you're out of school doesn't mean you can write like your in kindergarten or something...
