This next part is gonna sound MUCHO weird...but...it makes sense to me.
I text my BD and said:
"Let's move!"
"Huh?" he replied.
"Let's move outta VA! Remember you said you wanted to leave? Well I do too...let's go north."
"Are you sick?" he asked.
"Not like me and you move in together somewhere...let's just plan to migrate north...you in your own spot, me in mine. The only reason I haven't left is because I don't wanna break up what you and
"That's the only reason I didn't move yet." he said.
"Well now that we're in agreement, let's set things in motion."
"You're serious?" he asked.
"As a heart attack."
I want to be the fuck outta dodge by the end of 2012...2013 at the latest. So as of that day I decided to put operation location change in process.
TO DO LIST:
- Decide where exactly I would want to move, Maryland or Delaware is the state
- Research jobs...what are/will be in demand
- Pay down debt...double up on car payments if possible
- Go back to school...finish as much as I can before moving

Just do it! It will be the best decision you ever make. And why wait until 2012? Why no move January of next year? you have the support, make it happen girl!
I'm so inspired right now. I also have a son and want to move from Cali. I have been here most of my life and have wanted to leave for a long time, but can't decide what the best places would be.
I agree with what Monique said though. If you have the support, you should just do it girl. When we make the right steps, things have a way of falling into place. You've done more than me in that you've managed to at least narrow it down.

i agree with you. just do it. I wanna get the hell up outta DC, and away from Va and MD, too. I just have to get a better job, get rid of debt, build my credit, and all that. I'm working on it now. But first and foremost, I have to learn how to save before I can do anything. So, it's gonna be some years before I can think about moving
