Dream a lil dream...

I remember when I was younger (like 10 years ago) I always had a dream to open a daycare. If you have kids you know how much daycare is...I can remember spending 9 stacks on daycare in less than a year...and that was when he was 2 or 3, I couldn't imagine how much an infant would be then more over how much it would be now. And you looi at how much money you put in and what do you get out of it? Bascially someone to supervise and feed your kid, no real learning takes place. I remember sitting in with my son when he was 2 1/2, and they had all the kids grouped around and they were showing them pictures of clothing:

"What is this boys and girls?" The teacher cooed as she held up a picture of a pair of blue jeans.

"Pants!" the class said in unison.

My son looked around and stood up...

"Acutally those are azul pantalones."

The teacher looked shocked, "Did he just say azul pantalones?" She asked.

"Yes." I said.

"Wow! Are you spanish?" She asked.

"No, we practice Spanish." I said. (I don't speak a lick of spanish but there's websites that pronounce the words for you...then there's Dora...shit, we worked from there)

So my dream was always to start a daycare that functioned as a private school would BUT at an affordable price. If a parent is going to pay 150 a week let them get their money worth! Don't give them just an overpriced baby sitter!

Problem is....I don't really even like kids :-/

I'm glad my daughters daycare is family run and I only pay 80 bucks a week. It's a real blessing for me. I ain't rich! lol
