New segment on the blog is all about cooking.
I LOOOOOVE to cook and bake and ish

So this is where I'll showcase my talents as well as hit yall with pics/recipes to try yourself if you'd like to...don't be afraid my non-cooking buddies, all the shit I do is easy peasy...I don't have time to be in the kitchen ALLLL day...I got other shit to do...
Them dranks ain't gonna drank themselves after all.
Anywho, this post will be about:
Curry chicken, yellow rice, cabbageThis shit was soooooo good yall.
Curry chicken (my version made reeeeeeeal simple)
Okay, you can use whole chicken but to cut down on time (and so my son will eat it) I use oven roasted chicken pieces.
Curry powder (its not cheap...spices never are...but well worth it)
Half an onion
Garlic (I use the kind that comes in a jar...usually two scoops but you can adjust to your liking)
One stick butter
Chicken broth
Red pepper flakes (as little or as much as you like)
Black pepper
(You can always add or omit spices to your liking...this is just the quick version)
Melt butter down in saucepan, add garlic and saute until garlic is a LIGHT golden brown color. Add remainder of spices and simmer for about 5 minutes just to get the flavor through the butter. Add chicken and about a chicken broth. Cover and let simmer.
Yellow rice:
You can make it from scratch if you like...or you can take the easy route:
Just follow package instructionsCabbage:
2 heads of cabbage chopped (remove that hard part in the middle and discard)
Meat of choice for flavoring (I like smoked turkey) chopped
Chicken broth
In large pot, put enough chicken broth to cover the bottom of the pot...throw in the cabbage and chopped meat, cover and cook down. You'll know when it's done because the cabbage will be soft.
And that's it!
(Next time I'll post with measurements for each ingredient to make it easier for some folk who like that)
*Muah*
