I'm so proud of him!
He's been going to summer school this summer preparing him for his transition from daycare to Kindergarten. He's been going since the beginning of June and today was the last day (mad it wasn't through August cause the shit was $180.00...but oh well).
Anway, my mom shoots me a text at noon today after she picked him up and said...
Tookie's teacher (who teaches 1st grade at the school) recommended to the school that he be skipped!
Skip Kindergarten and go straight to 1st grade!
Her words were that Tookie would be bored in Kindergarten for the whole year because he is already working at a 1st grade level and the Kindergarten work would be no challenge for him (and she predicts him acting out...out of boredom).
Now....it's not FINAL...but the point that she made the recommendation speaks VOLUMES!
Working hard with your kids pays off man! In a big way.
I knew when I woke up today (well yesterday) would be a great day...and it was :-)

that is a wonderful thing. Better he's skipped now and not later when the kids are so much older than he is. It's hard to adjust to that.
Whoo hoo little man! i skipped two grades and I still brag about it. LOL
