Even though I'm a "grown up" I'm still kinda lost :-/
I'm stuck at a job I'm very good at but don't really like. Not to mention customer service doesn't offer too much opportunity for growth. But I find myself wondering all the time...
What do I WANT to do?
Never had (and still don't) have an answer to that one.
When I got out of high school and went into college, I decided to major in Business...my thought:
It's a broad enough subject that I'd be guaranteed a job.
What I didn't consider is it's so broad a subject that it wouldn't hold my interest...which is exactly what happened (besides the fact that school is a bore) and here I am...almost 10 years later....degree-less (I'm gonna get that sheet of paper one day though).
I remember when I was a kid people asking me what I wanted to be when I grow up....
"President! I'm gonna be the first black woman president!"
"A lawyer....cause I like to argue..."
Some other career choices were in there too but the recurring theme was...
Money
Even at 6 years old I had my eye on the almighty dollar. When I got to about 8 my ideas of grandeur ceased, when asked what I wanted to be when I grow up, I answered quite simply....
"Rich"
I know I want to make money...(duh, who doesn't) I just don't know what I want to do to get it.
I read somewhere that if you find something you love to do and figure out a way to make a profit off of it...you've found the ideal career.
But it's SO MUCH shit I like to do, I couldn't possibly narrow it down.
I'd have to open a catering, spa, fashion boutique, club, bookstore....and who the fuck is coming in there except for another weirdo such as myself?

I hear that. That's way I've been grinding to get this animated series put out cuz my current job is merely a way for me to keep the bills paid.
A labor of love it is not.I need to satisfy my inner nerd.
@Nighfall: YES! YES! Love to see people working towards their dream! Make it happen cap'n
I'm gonna go back to school myself at some point and finish my second degree. I wanna be a therapist or some sort of counselor. I'm great at it and I do it for free now. So why not get paid to do something you already love.
