Is you is or is you ain't

Looking at twitter the other day....saw something about thick vs. fat from one of the people I follow...I also happen to have his bbm so me being the inquisitive little chickadee that I am I question him...

"How does one know the difference between thick and fat?"

I've seen dudes call a chick that's a size 6 thick...I've also seen dudes base it on a weight scale which I can't agree with because if I told yall how much I weigh yall would say the devil is a liar but anywho...after some dialogue my buddy advised me that if there is no discernible hourglass figure then shorty is a member of the bikini bottom spongebob squarepants crew...

Okay....that makes it easy right? Not so much...

They have hourglass figures...their bodies do go in at the waist but they would still be considered fat.

One woman who I think is the definition of thick is...

I was rooting for that heffa on america's next top model...she let us thick/fat sisters down but at least she brought us closer to the limelight.

Personally I think I'm more fat than thick but folk always tell me I'm thick...

(yeah I posted pics of me...I'm vain as shit...shoot me)

I got big ole legs, thighs, boobs...big ole erry'thang so I'll still roll with fat but that's just me...in the end I guess thick is in the eye of the beholder.

thick is in the eye of the beholder. because i really look it at how women wear their weight. you have to be rolls over wear fat, for me to look at you like fat. a little extra hear, there, and there i'll give you a pass.

I think Tocarra is curvy, not fat, not thick. I also agree Thick is how you wear the weight. IMO thick refers mostly to the bottom half, life if a chick has hips, thighs and booty but it's all tight, not sloppy, i'd call her thick. Like even though ashanti think she skinny, i'll call her thick, her sister is fat (haven't seen any recent pics of her) but has the potential to be thick if she handles some stuff.
i think it's more about the frame than anything else.

Wow, that is a fabulous set of photos! I would enjoy all of those women wholeheartedly! I don't need to categorise them, I just need to be close to them!!

I agree that thick and fat come with how your body carries the weight. If it balances out evenly so that you aren't too much of one thing anywhere, then you would be considered thick. If you walking around sloppy, knowing you're a 22 but squeezing into an a 10, then its good chance you are going to be called fat.

Thick or fat, I think it's all. But I do wish women would take a cue and dress for their body type. You wouldn't date see Mo'Nique in something Kelly Rowland would wear. At least we betta knock.

And vain or not, you still thick, thickums! LOL

I also agree its about how you wear your weight. Even when I was bigger I was never called fat and dudes called me "thick" all the time. I didn't care one way or another but I just found it strange that I'm "thick" and so is the size 6 standing next to me and I was MUCH larger than a size 6
