HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

So today is Mother's day....what can I say to the mothers who read my blog that hasn't been said in a card or a call or a text from a friend or loved one?

Not much.

But I will say this...if you are a mother, a father playing both roles, a godmother, an aunt stepping in when need be, a sister, a cousin, whatever...you are more than appreciated for what you do each and every day...you could have taken the easy way out and turned your back in one way or another but you didn't...and for that I, yes I, thank you for rearing and influencing our future. Remember when you look into the eyes of a child that you could be possibly looking at the next president, the next astro physicist, the next big thing whatever the genre, and you would have had something to do with that. One day is not enough to express the gratitude for what you do 365 days a year. Be blessed.

NOW....enough of that mushy sentimental shit ***straightens collar and slumps in my chair*** time for some self promotion!

For mother's day I made gift boxes for my mother (yes my mother...we are speaking again...and on good terms) and my ex's mother...

The boxes included:

• A lotion/shower gel combo from Bath & Body Works
• Their favorite candy
• A candle and candle stand
• A notebook monogrammed with their initials
• A pen from Things Remembered with 'Nanny' and 'Grandma' engraved

Betcha didn't know I was so damned crafty huh!?!?
