Yea, I'm not down with this one unless he's my man. If we came together and there is food we will get up TOGETHER and get OUR food. But I'm definiately not grabbing a plate for a man who isn't my man. Don't matter if we're on a date. That's just not something I do. And before u think so, I'm not single lol. I just wasn't rasied making plates for just any ol man.
@Krissy: I figure if I'm out with a man at a function then he's in the "he's my man" type of category already. I'm not taking somebody I just met to a function with family/friends and I wouldn't accept an invite of that caliber on his behalf.
Ok. So we're taking about someone who is or is on their way to being your man. Then I'm with it lol. But it can't be our second , third, forth date and we go to a party of some sort and I get up and make his plate, nah! We not even on that level yet bruh! We can walk on over to the food together tho. But for my man, and he's at something my people through, yeah i'd make a plate for him.
A lot of women don't think to do it, but appearances mean something. To me this is like my opening a door for you or picking up a check at the end of our meal or showing you simple respect in public.
When a woman does this for a man, she's shows him that he's important to her.
