Twitter/FB relationships = Lame?

I wrote a blog awhile back about the whole twitter/FB hookup thing (click here if you missed it) and this week a friend of mine said to me:

"I've been talking to this guy via twitter for awhile now, then he added me as a friend on FB and we've been chatting there, then I couldn't keep up with the convo (I'm assuming the messages were being sent to her phone) so I gave him my number...does that make me lame?"

Immediately I said:

"No. You can always just ignore any phone calls/texts from him...now if you gave him your address that would be lame."

I know I said in the last blog that I'm not a fan of the whole innanet hookup thing (which I'm not) but on the rare occassion that you actually do connect with someone via a social networking site I don't deem it lame to see how it plays out...

I mean shit, we go out to the clubs, malls, different cities, etc....well actually I don't do club guys...but there are girls that do....and give our contact info to them. And really...what's the difference? Cept for you can't tell if their breath stinks or not.

So would I be open to starting a relationship via the innanet?

Yeah.

But it def wouldn't be something that was assumed off the bat...it would have to flow into that.

Now if you just hooking up with people off the internet on a regular then you need to get out the house more cause that shit is lame.

Sidenote: I want that shirt

i ended up meeting a chick on facebook when it first started...she was a good girl, but we ended up breaking up because i was on some wanna be a player shit at the time...i really wouldn't wanna jump into a relationship with somebody via fb/twitter because you just don't get that vibe like when you meet someone face 2 face. just my .02 cents though
