This past weekend with the snow moving in and I knew I was forced to another weekend of lock down in the house I made a decision to turn off my cell phone for the weekend.
Well not exactly...
I'm not big on talking on the phone...actually I quite hate it...after working in customer service for 5 years hearing the phone ring is akin to nails on a blackboard. So I made an announcement via BBM and twitter that I would not be accepting calls, other forms of communication were to be accepted.
But looking back over the weekend I didn't really respond to other forms of communication ****shrugs**** so I lied...oh well.
So much time is spent interacting with others...at work, facebook, twitter, etc that I just wanted some damn time to myself because really, I don't get much of that.
Truly I'm an anti social person (whose on all these social networking sites...go figure) but I actually like being alone, it gives me time to reflect and plan...and just to plain veg out! I love it. I cherish my me time. I got in my jacuzzi with a couple books, a pen and notepad in case I had any ideas for blogs, life, friends, etc, and wine and had a grand ole fucking time by myself covered up to my neck in bubbles and hot water...also took some "racy" pics for use at a future date (a Renaissance woman such as myself should always be prepared)
Anywho...it was quite nice.
So lil ole me has decided that for one weekend a month, I'm turning off incoming access into my life by ignoring phone calls, texts, bbm's, tweets, emails, etc...I will be M.I.A. to all cept for one person (causwe of course at least one person needs to know where you are at at all times...for safety reasons).

That's good. I think we all should have some me-time every now and again. I need to do it more often.
