I like Jennifer Lopez, I think her little stint in music was okay...not great of course, but not bad...I jammed to a couple of her songs...the earlier albums, not the ones after she broke up with Puffy
**shiny suit dances through this blog post**
And though she is by far not the best actress in the land, I kinda like her in all the romantic comedies that she plays the quirky but oh so lovable single chick who no matter how many times she pushes a guy away he always comes back and lives happily ever after (that she always plays...every...single...time)...but I digress...
I was watching The Back-Up Plan recently...a cute movie, I enjoyed it, a couple of things actually made me snicker, one part even made me laugh out loud...not loudly...but out loud nonetheless. But what irked...THE...FUCK....outta me is that she is always casted as a racially ambiguous character! We all know Jenny from the block is Latina...that was one of the things that she rode into the limelight, one of the badges she "courageously" displayed at all times, I mean you can look at her and tell that she is not white or some other unidentifiable race so why is it that she is always 'hooked up' with some white man and has white family ...ALWAYS? Forgive me but I do like my movies to be somewhat believable.
Oh! And Anthony Anderson plays 'the playground dad'
Kinda sad that he's a 'well known' actor such as himself can't even get a part where his name is mentioned smh...but anywho after my blog on black figures in history I love spotting the magic negros in romantic comedies...and poof, pow, surprise there he was.
Overall...cute movie though
