THOU SHALL BE HAPPY


Your boyfriend did you dirty, your kids won't listen, your car needs fixing, and if you were to get robbed right now the culprit would only be practicing...you got more problems than you got answers and your patience is wearing thinner than Naomi Campbell's edges...

At this moment you have nothing to smile about, nothing to look forward to, nothing to be happy about right?

WRONG.

You woke up this morning, that's a start right? May seem small and insignificant but it's plenty of people who didn't get to open that present today. You ate a meal or two today right? Again, seems insignificant but they're plenty of people who didn't eat a snack today much less a meal. Before you got in your car what did you do? More than likely you locked the door to your home...how many people don't have a door to lock? But you do. Yeah you hate your job but shit...you got one right? That's definitely something to smile about, especially in today's economy.

Small wins are half the battle, if you can focus on what you have instead of what you don't, you might find yourself in a better place. If you surround yourself with negative energy, it will duplicate, it will multiply...you will find yourself in a constant state of despair.

BUT...if you surround yourself with positive energy...positive people...positive thoughts...what happens? It multiplies, it duplicates...get the picture?

I went to a function recently and heard alot of empowering things, there was one quote that really stuck with me and because I fucks witchall, I'll share it...

"Stop speaking things that you don't want, speak what you want, speak your victory"

How dope is that? Speak it and so shall it be...maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it shall be! The mind is a POWERFUL tool...how do you think Microsoft was created? Walmart? IBM? Multi BILLION dollar companies that all started with a thought, a dream, a positive prospective.

Besides we as women (mostly us black women) are so often depicted (and very well are) angry...angry at any and everything...a man, a woman, a store, a company...THE WORLD. =And do you really want to perpetuate that stereotype?

Sidenote...today is my birfday!!!!!
